Matt Spiegel (vocals) has been singing for as long as he can remember. The mid-90’s saw he and his brother Jon form BROTHER BROTHER, a 10 piece funk & soul band. You can still check out those records here. In 2002 he founded Tributosaurus, to lovingly give the rock ‘n’ roll canon the respect it deserves. That spirit continues with CC & The Madman. Working in Chicago radio since 1994, Matt was the founding producer of Sound Opinions, a part time DJ for WXRT, and has long been a fixture on The Score sportstalk in Chicago, where he hosts both The Spiegel and Holmes Show and Hit and Run. You also might see him on Fox 32 Sports, or hear him on Cubs radio broadcasts.

Alan Berliant (bass) has played live and on recordings with Mavis Staples, Sinead O’Connor, Curt Smith (Tears For Fears), Bobby Keys, Of 1000 Faces, St. Ansonia, Ministry, and Ava Cherry among many others. His original music has been featured in movie and television soundtracks over the past several years.

Boston-raised, Chicago-braised drummer/singer/songwriter Gerlad Dowd (drums) has spent the last 30+ years playing with some of the best musicians locally and beyond: decades on the road and in the studio with Grammy-nominated artists Robbie Fulks and Justin Roberts, drumming and singing on hundreds of recording sessions with the likes of Nora O’Connor and Mavis Staples, working with such legendary producers as Steve Albini and Brian Deck, while also releasing albums of his original material. His new album “Father’s Day” was released in 2023 on Pee Wee League Records, and a new double album is due out in spring of 2027.

Gary Guzman (guitars) has played guitar on hundreds of TV commercials, which means he’s spent a good portion of his life convincing people to buy things they didn’t know they needed. He was recently handpicked by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello to play guitar in his new musical Revolution(s) and also brought his six-string talents to the Broadway musical Titanique. But don’t let the impressive résumé fool you. Gary’s real measure of success has nothing to do with rock-star credentials or Broadway show applause. For him, it’s more about the satisfying clack of a pinball machine, the warm crackle of a vinyl record, and the life-changing experience of a Portillo’s Beef and Cheddar Croissant sandwich. He’s living proof that you can have a career in music, rub elbows with rock royalty, and still be completely derailed by a sandwich. Gary continues to rock, roll, flip, and feast—with the ultimate goal of one day becoming a guitar playing pinball wizard who can afford all the vinyl he wants while owning a chain of Portillo’s restaurants.
